On Sunday, January 2, 2020 I visited the office of the Federation of Muslim Women Associationof Nigeria (FOMWAN) Kaduna State Chapter and the hospital managed by the leading faith -based organization. I shared thoughts with the officials and members on the challenges facing the association and to offer assistance.
Some of the issues raised were the inadequate facilities in the hospital managed by the association which by God’s grace, I will ensure their expansion as soon as possible. I also pledged to provide a suitable land for the building of a permanent site to host the FOMWAN School for the Deaf and a start-up grant to support the new graduates of the FOMWAN skill acquisition program.
I commend FOMWAN for taking the bold step of building peace, empowering women and youths. Their initiatives have created positive impacts on Nigerians, especially women and children.
